Themography & Infra Red

Oakleafe has invested in a pioneering new technology in the water damage repair sector. Thermographic or infra red technology has transformed restoration projects in water damaged properties.

Infrared thermography and thermal imaging technology enables Oakleafe to identify any damage quickly and will speed up restoration works by making repairs less intrusive and more accurately targeted.

An Infra red camera can be used to for example to identify the source of a leak beneath a floor without having to dig it up, resulting in dramatic time and labour savings and less disruption. The use of Thermographic cameras in restoration projects delivers higher levels of accuracy and control. The equipment enables Oakleafe to pinpoint problem areas and trace the extent of actual affected material. A leaking pipe for example buried in concrete – traditionally much of the affected area would need to be dug out to identify the leak. With a thermal imaging camera the problem can be quickly and accurately traced, with only the affected area requiring access.

Moisture Probes

Oakleafe’s Specialist Moisture probes test the electrical conductivity levels of materials to advise on the location of moisture from leaks. When Materials contain moisture they conduct an electrical signal or voltage. The readings are visually displayed as a percentage often colour coded for varying degrees of moisture levels. Oakleafe also has non-invasive radar technology which will find moisture at depth where moisture is not always directly visible at surface level.

Endoscopic Cameras

Oakleafe have a number of miniature endoscopic inspection cameras available. These consist of a long insertion probe with a flexible “goose-neck” video camera probe for getting around corners. LED lights give excellent illumination and a cctv type camera on the tip captures clear images and allows image and video saving. These are excellent for identifiying the exact location of the failed pipe or fitting. All images can be viewed or copied for reporting purposes ensuring minimal disruption to surrounding areas where traditionally a large hole would have had to be made.

Oakleafe can provide end to end management of the claims process from initial call through to completion with absolutely no cost to you.
